A recently published book depicts and explains the art and symbols of The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. The eighty-five (85) page pictorial book was authored by former parishioner Mrs. Suzanne Aviles. Photography of the Stations of the Cross was supplied by Mr. Walt Kessel, Blessed Sacrament Parish.

Cathedral Bookmarks

Bookmarks are available featuring the center of the Assumption Window in the south transept. The back is imprinted Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, Savannah, GA. They make lovely favors for guests celebrating special occasions such as weddings, bridal luncheons, baptisms, etc. The back can be custom printed for the event.

Donation: Standard Bookmark - $1 per + S&H (minimum order 25).

Available is a 12 minute DVD featuring the interior of the Cathedral of St. John the Bapstist accompanied by messages from Bishop J. Kevin Boland and Msgr. William O. O'Neill, Cathedral Rector.

Cathedral Ornaments

The year 2007 saw the appearance of the first of a series of ornaments featuring the stained glass windows of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. Proceeds from the donations for these ornaments will help retire the remaining restoration debt.

The first ornament appropriately features the center window behind the main altar, that of John the Baptist baptizing Christ. The 2008 edition features the window in the north transept, the Ascension of our Lord.

The back of each ornament is etched with “Christmas” and the year of issue. They make wonderful stocking stuffers for friends and family or a gift at any time of the year. Why not start a family tradition and support the Cathedral at the same time?
