Catholic Prayer:

History, Traditions, and Methods

What is prayer?  Why bother with prayer?  Must I always pray the same way or are there different forms and methods?  When I pray, why does nothing seem to happen? What is the difference between meditation and contemplation?  If you have ever asked these questions, perhaps you would be interested in learning more about Catholic prayer: its history, traditions, methods, and styles.

Deacon Joseph Mullin will present a two-part class on Catholic Prayer in the Parish Hall.  The first class is Thursday, September 22 and the second class is Thursday, October 6th.  Each class will begin at 7:00 PM and end at 8:00 PM.  Although a presentation, active discussion is both encouraged and anticipated.
