February 24, 2019After Masses
Two first-class relics will travel from the Basilica of Saint Anthony of Padua, Italy, to the Diocese of Savannah. One of the relics is the saint’s floating rib, which was venerated by both then-Archbishop Jorge Maria Bergoglio, (now Pope Francis) in the Cathedral of Buenos Aires in the year 2000 and by Sister Lucia of Fatima in her convent in Coimbra, Portugal, in 1995, the 800th anniversary of St. Anthony’s birth. The relics will be brought by Friar Bortolino Maistrello, OFM Conv.
The veneration will take place after the 8AM, 10 AM, 11:30 AM and 1PM Masses on Sunday February 24, 2019.
