Two-Part Class on Catholic Prayer
Two-Part Class on Catholic Prayer
October 6, 2022Catholic Prayer:
History, Traditions, and Methods
What is prayer? Why bother with prayer? Must I always pray the same way or are there different forms and methods? When I pray, why does nothing seem to happen? What is the difference between meditation and contemplation? If you have ever asked these questions, perhaps you would be interested in learning more about Catholic prayer: its history, traditions, methods, and styles.
Deacon Joseph Mullin will present a two-part class on Catholic Prayer in the Parish Hall. The first class is Thursday, September 22 and the second class is Thursday, September 29. Each class will begin at 7:00 PM and end at 8:00 PM. Although a presentation, active discussion is both encouraged and anticipated.

Does our faith matter in the workplace? Do we believe that there are things that pertain to our faith that just don’t pertain in the workplace?
Deacon Joseph Mullin will present a two-part class on leadership based on the classic Four Cardinal Virtues. Each virtue will have a corresponding and challenging “Examination of Conscience” assessing how we might live such a particular virtue in the workplace. The class is based on his previous service, includes knowledge gained and mistakes made, both as a decorated officer in the CIA’s Senior Intelligence Service and as a principal officer with private sector firms in Washington D.C. Classes are Thursday, October 13 and Thursday, October 20 from 7:00 - 8:00 PM in the Parish Center. -
