Friends of Cathedral Music

2021-2022 Concert Series Announced

Dear Friends:

Ours is a communal mission: bringing the finest in liturgical music to our parish, the Catholic community, and the greater community of Savannah. Last season was certainly not the season of community we had planned! It was, instead, a season of upheaval, adaption, and perseverance. We made the commitment to keep music going in the Cathedral Basilica. We upgraded the audio quality of the Livestream and kept a small number of singers at Mass. We rolled out online ticketing, reservations, and giving: the electronic logistics that enabled us to stage socially distanced concerts. Both the concerts and the liturgical life of the Cathedral have developed an enormous online presence. For 2021-2022, our concert series marks a renewal of our commitment to community. This brochure details the exciting things planned for this season. Finally, I wish to thank all of you. Your generous support enabled the Friends of Cathedral Music to offer our entire 2020-2021 season free of charge as a gift to the Savannah community. We promised amazing things for our 2021-2022 season, and we will deliver! I hope you will continue to be part of them.

Wishing you well,

Paul Thornock
Director of Music
