    ADORATION CHAPEL

Eucharistic Adoration is for all who wish to spend time in quiet prayer with Jesus before the Blessed Sacrament. The refurbished Eucharistic Adoration Chapel will reopen soon as part of the renovation of the downstairs space.  Hours and days will be limited until the project is well-established again. Come and see what a blessing it is to visit with our Lord and Savior for an hour each week in our private chapel.  For more information, please contact Gretchen Reese at 912-658-3848.

    ADULT FAITH ENRICHMENT

An adult group meets for Bible study or book study each Monday evening.  The current topic is the Book of Acts and will conclude before Christmas. Previous topics include the Catholicism series and the Priest, Prophet, King series from Bishop Robert Barron as well as numerous Bible studies.  If interested in participating with this group, contact Moira at 813-449-0393 or by email at threenovacks@gmail.com.

    CHRISTIAN SERVICE

The mission of the CSC is to promote awareness of social and spiritual ministries in the parish and encourage involvement and participation from all parishioners.  Baskets are always available in the back of the church to receive donations of canned goods, hygiene items, or baby items.  Annual activities include the parish-wide food drive, the angel tree at Christmas, and personal hygiene packets made for the Social Apostolate. If you would like to join this team, contact Ann Hall at anniehall319@gmail.com or at 912-507-4066.

    COUNCIL OF CATHOLIC WOMEN

The mission of the Council of Catholic Women is to provide outreach services in the church and community for those in need; provide a sense of family to parishioners of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist and the fellowship of sisterhood for its members. The meetings are the 4th Wednesday of the month, August through May. For more information, contact Virginia Broderick at 912-484-1853 or vabroderick@comcast.net.

    FLOWER GUILD

Love flowers?  Pretty good at arranging them?  Never trained to arrange but would love to learn? Just want to know what this is all about?  Taking care of the altars of the Cathedral is an important job.  Each week help is needed to adorn the altar of the Blessed Mother.  On special occasions, help is needed to decorate the main altar and other places in the church. If interested, please contact Jan Curran at 912-441-3094.

    Nursery

The Cathedral Nursery is open every Sunday for the 10:00 a.m. Mass to provide care for infants and children through age four so that their parents and fellow parishioners may experience Mass more peacefully and without distraction. Usually between four and eight children attend the nursery each week. Two volunteers are present for each nursery session. We are always in need of more volunteers. For more information, contact Krystyna Flores at 704-880-7975 or krystyswi@gmail.com.

    POTPOURRI

After the flowers are removed from the church, a potpourri team works on Tuesday and Thursday mornings to dry the flowers and make potpourri.  These bags of potpourri are then available for purchase at the docent desk and online. The team meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings in the Parish Hall. If you are interested in joining the potpourri team, please contact Lisa at 317-710-2728 or at AtwellLD2@aol.com.

     RESPECT LIFE

This lay ministry is dedicated to proclaiming the sanctity of all human life, from conception until natural death, but also all the stages and conditions between these two human states. Parishioners have said the Rosary outside abortion facilities, support the work of Pregnancy Resource Centers, engage in educational activities sponsored by the Diocese of Savannah related to life issues, participate in Respect Life Month (October) events annually, and engage the public, where possible, in many life-affirming efforts. Anyone interested in becoming involved in this program should contact Gretchen Reese at 912-658-3848 for more information. Click here for events
